A custom rod should be just what you want and serve your needs well, in order to do that we need to figure out just what those needs and functions are. Are you hiking several miles up to an alpine lake? Are you rigging up for a 100 mile bike packing adventure? Maybe you are heading up to Alaska for the salmon run. Our Story
Santa Fe Fly Rod LLC, began as an idea in a small workshop in northern New Mexico. The idea was to combine ultralight backpacking with fly fishing in a way that promotes conscientious consumerism while maintaining the quality and usefulness that you can only get from a cottage brand creation. Our goal is to offer products that help you achieve your outdoor aspirations and last a lifetime.
Our Products
All of our fly rods are made from the highest quality fiberglass blanks we can find. The guides are wrapped with Japanese Kimono silk thread. We are now offering a new rod called the TenFly, our ultralight, ultra packable tenkara rod. The TenFly is built on premium Japanese carbon fiber telescopic blanks. It will come with an ultralight case made by our friends at Tribulus Limited, and a perfect fit line made by Phoenix Classics.
