What We Do
Here At Santa Fe Fly Rod we appreciate high quality. For that reason we only offer a limited amount of items. Our goal is to keep the cost as low as we can, while still producing a high-end, heirloom quality product. Soon we will be offering 2 different length and weigh fiberglass rods that will be built by hand in our home with all American made components even down to the tape we use. Every now and then you might see some amazing Japanese rods come through as well, so keep an eye out if that is your thing. Custom rods will be built on a case by case basis. Our Story
Santa Fe Fly Rod LLC, began as an idea in a small workshop in northern New Mexico. Our goal is to bring high-end, American made fly Rods to the market at a price that is not out of reach for the typical fly angler. We also Wanted to share the joy of ultralight back packing with a Tenkara rod so we went on the hunt. We have sourced what we consider the best American Glass blanks and the lightest, toughest Japanese graphite Tenkara blanks we could find to make this happen. We use all the products we sell and we believe in them. We hope you love them as much as we do and that your great grandchildren will use them when we are all long gone.
Our Products
All of our fly rods are made from the highest quality fiberglass blanks we can find. The guides are wrapped with Japanese Kimono silk thread. We are now offering a new rod called the TenFly 33, our ultralight, ultra packable tenkara rod. The TenFly is built on premium Japanese carbon fiber telescopic blanks. It will come with an ultralight case made by our friends at Tribulus Limited, and a perfect fit line made by Phoenix Classics.
